Meet Our President...
I have been in the telecommunications field for over 10 years. However, I have not always been an independent Telecom Consultant. After eight years of telecom equipment sales, I left my Midwestern interconnect company in December 2002 to pursue an entrepreneur opportunity in a different industry. I did not even think to say “I’ll be back.” However, by February of 2003 I missed it and came back – to telecom that is! Telecom – yes. Selling equipment again– No! Inspired by a former customer’s plea to help a family member with a client project I started my first consulting job. It occurred to me that during my tenure as an equipment sales person that my customers would often struggle to represent their needs, ask pertinent questions, and evaluate my proposal against those of my competitors. I would often be asked questions such as “if I show you the other proposal without the pricing could you tell me the differences.” Even I had to admit that was not the most effective way to get an objective opinion. My goal in starting Jewel Technology Services, Inc. was to help companies in a way that would make the most impact but would not be product specific. I wanted to work solely for the customer helping them achieve their goals.
 We have helped many businesses choose and implement new technology, revamp their outside telephone services and streamline business practices to have a real impact on customer service. We do not focus on one particular vertical market as there are similar needs in many markets. We have had the privilege of working with school districts, municipalities, non-profit agencies, car dealerships, banks and more. I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in communications from the Southern Illinois University and I am an active member in the Society of Telecommunications Consultants (STC). Through the association I am able to keep current with new technologies, products and FCC regulations; plus provide an extended team of telecom specialists to provide state-of-the-art solutions that a client’s project deserves. Further, by subscribing to the STC’s strict Code of Ethics it furthers our commitment to “remain unbiased toward any one manufacturer or vendor.”
